The Annual Killington Classic Motorcycle Rally will throttle through the Green Mountains Aug. 27-30
The Killington Classic Motorcycle Rally returns to Central Vermont Aug. 27-30. Hosted by Americade, this four-day motorcycle rally tours the heart of Vermont. Rides feature covered bridges, the “Vermont Highlights Tour,” the “Green Serpent” thrill ride, a poker run, and a scavenger hunt.
The rally returns to the Foundry Restaurant for the second year, featuring social events, a vendor village, stunt shows, live music, and a 12-mile parade of bikes.
Friday night, the assembly for the parade begins at 5 p.m. at the top of Killington Road, for a 6 p.m. departure down Route 4, to Downtown Rutland for the Block Party at 6:30 p.m. on Center Street and Merchants Row. Over 800 motorcycles will parade from Killington into downtown and line the streets for an evening of outdoor dining and live music with local favorite, Blue Jay Way.
Saturday is filled with BMX stunt shows, riding contests, the “Best of Show” and contest, free live music at Killington’s Snowshed Adventure Center with Allman Brothers tribute band Live at the Fillmore, the KC Mountain Celebration with the burning motorcycle, awards, the Cirque de Fuego pyrotechnics show, and fireworks.
Sunday wraps up the weekend with a special Ride for Brain Cancer Awareness, and the drawing for the winner of the Scavenger Hunt.
