RUPERT — On Aug. 7, the Vermont State Police responded to a theft on Herrick Brook Road in the town of Rupert. c, age 54, reported a granite bench had been stolen from her property between Aug. 5-6. The bench was valued at approximately $600 and had been on the property for over a year serving as a sitting area/rest spot for an elderly family member who walks on the property.
