The New England housing market experienced an average year-over-year sales drop of 2.5 percent in the region. Month-over-month home sales, however, reflected the spring market with an increase of 9.4 percent over March 2015’s numbers.
Across New England, median prices were steady in comparison to April 2014’s figures. On average, home prices rose 1.9 percent year-over-year. Pending sales were also up.
Vermont home transactions were up 3.2 percent year-over-year, while median price increased 4.1 percent year-over-year. Pending sales were the same percentage in comparison to April 2014.
“We expect to see strong numbers as we move along in the busy spring season,” said Dan Breault, EVP/Regional Director of RE/MAX.
