Chuck Hughes receives USSA West Family Award

PARK CITY, Utah — The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) recently recognized accomplished athletes and leaders last week at the annual Chairman’s Awards Dinner during USSA Congress held in Park City, Utah. Chuck Hughes, who serves as Killington Mountain School’s Events Manager and as the KSC/KMS Development Program Director, was also recognized by the USSA for his service and was given the West Family Award by Tom Kelly, Vice President of Communications for USSA. The West Family Award is given annually to recognize the outstanding, dedicated USSA-certified official for the year and/or over the years.

Hughes “…has been a coach, parent, FIS technical delegate, Eastern AO Chairman, Program Director at Killington Mountain School, Vermont Official’s Chair and a VARA Board Member,” Kelly said. “He has dedicated much time to the betterment of alpine skiing. He handles himself with grace and has earned the respect of the national and international community of ski racing.”
