Killington resort announces 2022-23 winter event schedule

Killington is ready for winter with a jam-packed event series kicking off with Alex Hackel’s Hike & Hang 2.0 on Nov. 12 and concluding with Green Up Day on May 6. “Being home to the longest season in the East allows us ample time to host over 50 events from opening day to closing day,” said Michael Sutcliffe, events and sponsorship manager at Killington Resort. “From local favorites like the Ski Bum races to Park Affair, the all-women’s snowboard clinic on Feb. 4, this year’s winter event line-up has something for everyone.”

Here’s the 2022-23 winter event line up:

Nov. 12 Hike & Hang 2.0

Ski and socialize with Alex Hackel in the early season Woodward Mountain Park on Reason.

Nov. 19 Loaded Turkey Rail Jam

The kick-off to the freestyle season brings the best skiers and riders from around New England to compete on a custom set-up by the Woodward Parks crew.

Nov. 25-27 Audi FIS Ski World Cup

Witness the best female Alpine skier racers in the world compete at break-neck speeds, enjoy live music from national acts and so much more.

Dec. 14 Michelob ULTRA Ski Bum Registration Party

The locals gather with a party to start the weekly Ski Bum race series right.

Dec. 31 Family-Friendly K-1 Lodge NYE Celebration with Fireworks

Bring the kids for this celebration welcoming in 2023.

Jan. 4 – March 15 Michelob ULTRA Ski Bum Race Series (Wednesdays)

Every Wednesday, serious and not-so-serious racers vie for the fastest time on Highline.

Jan. 7 Mini Shred Madness

A gathering of groms to learn the ins and outs of park competition TBD Peace Park Celebration with Danny Davis Ride with Burton professional snowboarder Danny Davis in his brainchild, the Woodward Mountain Peace Park, with live music and free refreshments.

Feb. 4 Park Affair

All-female snowboard camp open to ladies of all ages teaching the fundamentals of park riding Feb. 10-12 Subaru WinterFest A one-of-a-kind music and mountain lifestyle festival that invites everyone and their dogs to bask in their love of winter adventure

Feb. 12 Tell a Friend Tour

The social (media) event of the season, full of friends and cool tricks

Feb. 24 Pico Hiko

Go uphill with demos, clinics and more at Pico Mountain.

Feb. 25 Mini Shred Madness at Pico Mountain

The groms go to Pico for the second stop of our kids’ gathering in the park.

March 3-4 Slash & Berm Banked Slalom

The 9th annual race through the Woodward Mountain Park Stash, presented by Burton and Darkside Snowboards. March 11 Vertical Challenge at Pico Mountain A free ski and snowboard race open to skiers and riders of all abilities

March 12 Ski Vermont Specialty Food Day

Sample the foods that make Vermont unique.

March 31 – April 2 Red Bull Slide-in Tour

Top pro snowboarders spend three days riding The Beast and invite you to come along for the party.

April 1 Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge
