Killington Mountain Bike Club to host second annual Fox Haunted Hillside Relay Saturday

Saturday, Oct. 22 at 12 p.m.— KILLINGTON — Killington Mountain Bike Club, a chapter of the Vermont Mountain Bike Association, will host the second annual Haunted Hillside Relay Race, presented by Fox.

The Fox Haunted Hillside relay is a fundraising event for the Killington Mountain Bike Club and will be held Saturday at the Base Camp Trails. Racers will compete in teams of three in a relay-style race from TBR to Upper Base Camp loop. Prizes will be awarded to the team with the fastest time, best team costume, and best individual costumes. Funds raised from the event will go towards building and maintaining the trails within the KMBC network.

The race will be held Oct. 22 from 12-3 p.m. Afterparty to follow from 4-6 p.m. at the Clear River Tavern.

Spectators and racers can enjoy a vendor village with treats for all ages, including: ice cream from Mad Hatter’s Scoops, Sexy Llama Mobile Espresso Bar, and beer provided by Bent Water Brewing Company.

Early bird registration is $75 per team, and day-of registration is $90 per team. Each team registration includes race, afterparty entry, and a commemorative shirt for the first 20 teams to register. For non-racers, afterparty tickets are available to purchase for $10 for anyone who wishes to attend.

The afterparty feature complimentary food, great drink specials, and raffle prizes.

Schedule Saturday, Oct. 22

  • 12-3 p.m.: Vendor village open
  • 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Race check-in/registration
  • 12:30-2:30 p.m.: Relay race
  • 4-6 p.m.: Afterparty hosted by the Clear River Tavern
