April 29-30 — RUTLAND — Rutland Regional Medical Center offers a variety of community programs to promote health and wellness. Join a four part-series designed to help make lifestyle changes to improve overall health and well-being. The workshops feature the basics of nutrition, exercise and evidence-based lifestyle changes. Attendees will learn how to create an effective weight-loss plan, watch a healthy cooking demonstration and discuss fitness with a fitness trainer.
Sessions I and II will be held Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30. Registered Dietitian Kathy Clark, and Community Educator, Elizabeth Dulli, RN MS invite participants to discover a different way to view weight loss, by focusing on health, and creating an effective lifestyle plan. Event attendees will learn the basics of nutrition, proper serving portions, reading labels, and more.
Session III will be held May 6. Author, educator and blogger, Lisa Fennimore will provide a healthy cooking demonstration along with tips to modify recipes for better nutrition.
Session IV will be held May 7. With a master’s degree in Physical Education and over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, Trainer Tammy Landon, owner of The Gymnasium, will provide insight into healthy body movement for weight loss.
Workshops will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. at the CVPS/Leahy Conference Center, located at Rutland Regional Medical Center on 160 Allen Street in Rutland.
