Lucas Holbrook Ambler, 18

Lucas Holbrook Ambler, 18, died unexpectedly in Saratoga Springs, New York on Sunday, Aug. 21. He was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on Sept. 29, 2003, to Holly Holbrook and Peter Ambler. After Peter’s death, Holly married Scott Wesley Semple who adopted Lucas as his own son as a young boy.

Lucas Ambler attended Killington Mountain School and Gould Academy. He was looking forward to attending Skidmore College this fall.

From a young age, Lucas was fascinated by fashion and sports, mainly skateboarding and snowboarding. Lucas attended Gould Academy in Maine and Killington Mountain School in Vermont. Lucas touched the hearts of anyone who knew him. He was a great conversationalist and dazzled many friends and parents.

Lucas will be remembered for spending hours in the garage modifying his car, his high-fashion style (especially his collection of sneakers), his love of music, and his magic smile. He was looking forward to attending classes at Skidmore College this fall. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his parents Holly Holbrook-Ambler and Scott Wesley Semple of Norwich; his brother Sebastian Holbrook Semple; maternal grandparents Tim and Frances Holbrook of North Pownal; paternal grandparents Jon and Ann Ambler of Port Hope, Oregon; adoptive grandparents Jim and Linda Semple of Kaleden, British Columbia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and wonderful friends.

He was preceded in death by his birth father, Peter Ambler.
