Killington Mountain Bike Club to host summer kick-off party

Saturday, June 11 at 12:30 p.m.— KILLINGTON — Killington Mountain Bike Club, a chapter of the Vermont Mountain Bike Association, celebrates the start of the seventh season of the Bike Bum race series with a summer kick-off party, hosted by the Killington Distillery.

The day begins with VMBA hosted group rides leaving from Base Camp. Group rides will last approximately 90 minutes and are recommended for intermediate and above riders.

The kick-off continues as the party moves to the Killington Distillery where bike enthusiasts can enjoy a community event featuring food, fun games, and great raffle prizes. On-site Bike Bum registration and VMBA registration will be available. Killington Mountain Bike Club will also present its annual update.

All events are free to attend. KMBC is raising money through food and raffle ticket sales. Pre-purchase is available for $25 per person, which includes food and 10 raffle tickets. Food and raffle tickets will be available for purchase day-of at a la carte pricing. You are encouraged to pre-pay for the best value.

Schedule:

Base Camp

  • 12:30-1 p.m. VMBA Group Ride
  • 1:30 – 3 p.m. VMBA Ladies’ group ride

Killington Distillery

  • 4:30-5 p.m. Welcome & lawn games
  • 5-6 p.m. Food opens, Bike Bum registration, raffle tickets
  • 6-6:15 p.m. KMBC Annual Update
  • 6:15-6:30 p.m. Raffle Drawing
