The camper police say was the home for two miniature horses at Ladd Brook Inn.

On April 3, 2015 at approximately 12:36 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to the Ladd Brook Inn located at 5939, Route 7 in Pownal, Vt. for a report of horses living in a camper.

Upon arrival, an investigation ensued. Two miniature horses were found by Animal Humane Officer Gina Brown, of the Spring Hill Rescue, in a tow behind camper parked in the parking lot of the Inn. The conditions of the camper were found to be unsatisfactory for the horses to live in. The horses were found to be in poor health and is believed to be caused by the conditions inside the camper.

The owner of the horses was identified as Donna Jean Malloy. Donna Jean Malloy surrendered the horses to the State Of Vermont and Animal Humane Officer Gina Brown took custody of the horses. The horses were relocated to an animal rescue.

This case is still under investigation by Animal Humane Officer Gina Brown for the Department of Agriculture.
