Killington Resort promotes Megan Canty as new director of human resources

Killington Resort announced the advancement of Megan Canty to director of human resources, March 1.

Megan Canty

“We’re thrilled to be able to promote from within as we continue to build a strong, passionate team. Megan will, no doubt, make immediate contributions to Killington and Pico in her new role. She brings a wealth of experience to human resources department, and we are excited about her new role at the company,” the resort said in a statement.

Canty previously served as the payroll and benefits manager and has been a part of Killington’s human resources team for over 20 years. She started her career in recruiting and quickly took on additional duties through the years, the resort noted in the press release. In that role, she was key in communicating and implementing internal employee communications including enhancing the staff guide, employee newsletter and employee appreciation week.

In-person communication is where Canty excels most, according the resort. “Whether speaking to large groups at orientation or open enrollment, or explaining complicated benefits or policies to individuals one-on-one, Megan confidently shares her enthusiasm and gives clear and consistent information. The team has and will continue to depend on her for this superior communication skill set,” the statement concluded.
