Green Mountain Club offers intro to hiking online workshop

Wednesday, July 14, at 4 p.m. — VIRTUAL—Summer is here and one of the best and most enjoyable ways to tend to your well-being and the wellness of your family and friends is to get outside!

Whether you’re looking to summit your first mountain, thru-hike the Long Trail or just visit the park next door, you’ll do it by hiking.

Join us for a special presentation from the Green Mountain Club in a back-to-the-basics online workshop to learn everything you need to get started, including but not limited to physical fitness, planning a hike, solo vs. group hiking, Leave No Trace and proper gear. It will be held from 4-5 p.m. online Wednesday, July 14.

The Green Mountain Club is Vermont’s go-to source for hiking information in Vermont, and you’ll leave this workshop better prepared and equipped to explore the beautiful Vermont outdoors!
