Saturday and Sunday, June 12-13, 8-11 a.m. — RUTLAND— Jones Donuts and Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum will be “cooking up” something special for the weekend of June 12-13. For the second year, Jones Donuts will be putting a unique spin on their classic, crowd-pleasing recipe to “raise some dough” for Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum. On June 12-13 from 8-11 a.m., Jones Donuts will offer a special purple donut and a donut with purple sprinkles, available by the dozen or half dozen with proceeds to benefit the museum and its community programs.
Purple donut pickup will be in the Rite Aid parking lot near Jones Donuts on West Street. Volunteers will serve car-side pickup meeting all health and safety guidelines. Purple donuts will be available for $20 a dozen or $12 for a half dozen. Purple donut pre-orders can be made online at wonderfeetkidsmuseum.org/donuts until Thursday, June 10. Non-purple donuts orders should go through the regular Jones Donuts 23 West St. drive thru or at the counter.
Wonderfeet Executive Director Danielle Monroe said, “This event was a huge success last year and everyone was eager for us to do it again. The Manneys have been great supporters of the museum over the years and we hope this will be something families can enjoy together. Since we’ve reopened, we’ve seen so many familiar faces and heard from many families how much they have missed Wonderfeet and getting out in their community.”
Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum reopened May 1 to families and schools eager to get in field trips before the end of the year.
Currently, the museum is open Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. Starting June 21, Wonderfeet will host six weeks of its own summer camps, as well as assisting other local camps and school programs throughout the summer. The museum will have summer hours June 21-Aug. 14, open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays only.
