These funds will be earmarked for program development and facility improvements at the B&G sites at Barstow School in Chittenden, Castleton Elementary School in Castleton, as well as their locations in Fair Haven and Rutland City.

The Boys & Girls Club of Rutland County serves youth ages 5-12 during out of school hours by providing a safe place, caring mentors, enriching programs, activities, and experiences.

“The pandemic has been unbelievably tough on non-profit organizations. But the people and businesses of Rutland County have been extraordinarily generous. No one exemplifies this spirit better than Rutland South Rotary. Not only did they increase their annual donation considerably, these folks truly care about the children of our community,” said David Woolpy, executive director at the Boys & Girls Club of Rutland County.

Supporting area youth is at the core of Rutland South Rotary’s mission. “We have witnessed the impactful work the Boys & Girls Club has done in our community. They have helped to give so many children [an opportunity to] build brighter stronger futures. Rutland South Rotary is pleased to support organizations like the Boys & Girls Club who put our children first,” said Caitlin Perry, president of Rutland South Rotary Club.
