On the road to Alaska

Wednesday, April 28—VIRTUAL—Marv Elliott, treasurer and active member of Rutland County Audubon, will present a Zoom birding program on Wednesday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. This photo talk will follow a camping trip by Marv and his wife, Sue, from their home in Vermont to Alaska. The program will concentrate on birds, animals and plants, going west from Vermont across Canada. To participate in the Zoom program email birding@rutlandcountyaudubon.org to receive an invitation.

The second part of the presentation, which will be shown in May, will concentrate on traveling and birding around Alaska with the highlight being their stay at Denali National Park. The second presentation,”Wild Alaska,” will include some of the challenges of planning and traveling as RVers to see birds and wildlife. Their photos will show the transition from eastern to western species, and their knowledge and experience will be obvious. Watch for an announcement for “Wild Alaska” in a few weeks.
