March 18-22—RUTLAND—Pure Water for the World, Inc. (PWW) announces its inaugural H2O = Health, Hope & Opportunity Virtual Auction event, March 18-22 in celebration of World Water Day.
PWW is an international nonprofit with its roots firmly planted in Vermont. Founded by members of the Brattleboro Rotary Club, PWW is headquartered in Rutland, with offices in Honduras and Haiti. This year, PWW is celebrating 22 years as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. With its mission to improve lives by empowering people with access to life’s most basic necessities, safe water and sanitation, PWW has reached over 750,000 people with sustainable and life-changing safe water, sanitation and hygiene solutions.
In celebration of World Water Day, March 22, PWW is hosting H20 = Health, Hope and Opportunity, a virtual online auction, which participants will join from the comfort and safety of their own homes. With a wide range of items available, this is a truly unique and interactive online shopping opportunity that will transform lives.
Senator Patrick Leahy has called PWW “one of the great success stories in the world,” citing PWW as example of “how to get a lot done when a little money is directed in the right way.”
Funds raised from the auction will go toward empowering families, schools and healthcare centers, located in underserved communities of Honduras and Haiti, with reliable access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education, including water source and environmental protection, effective handwashing, and menstrual hygiene management. These essential tools and practices are the most basic foundation needed for families to protect their health and open doors to their future.
Auction bidding will go live from March 18-22, 2021. Visit purewaterfortheworld.org to learn more, and follow PWW on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates.
