Fire On The Mountain: new owner, new location

By Robin Alberti

KILLINGTON — Fire on the Mountain has re-opened, under new ownership and in a new location, the old Vertical Bliss location, on the right of Outback Pizza. Live glass blowing demonstrations can be seen from the great bay window in the front.

Mari Roma, the energetic new proprietor, hopes to make Fire On The Mountain a family-friendly destination.

Fire on the Mountain hosts a selection of high-end glass pieces, both functional and decorative, including vases, jewelry, candles, t-shirts and sweatshirts, sweet-smelling incense, and E-Cigs.

“I am very excited about opening this store,” said Roma, during an opening party she held Saturday, Jan. 31. “We have had a lot of people come through today. I want to make this an attraction for the Killington area.  I want to support local artists, 90 percent of our glass is made in Vermont.”

Roma and her staff also enjoy educating customers a bit about the artists who contribute to their store.
