Killington gears up for a fun-filled Saturday

By Polly Mikula Touch-a-Truck will occur in Killington on June 7.

June 7—KILLINGTON—Two family-friendly events are set to draw crowds in Killington on Saturday, June 7. First up is the annual Touch-a-Truck event at Sherburne Library from 10 a.m. to noon. Kids and adults alike can get up close with vehicles from the Killington Police and Fire Departments, GMP, Killington Auto, Town Garage, Regional Ambulance, Deer River, and Killington Resort. Snacks will be available, and the event is free to attend.

Later in the day, the Huck Finn Catfish Derby returns to The Foundry from noon to 2 p.m. Originally scheduled for May 31, this popular fishing derby invites families to compete for trophies, enjoy burgers and hot dogs, and support a good cause. Entry is $5, with proceeds benefiting Killington Elementary School.

Both events promise a great day of community fun and are open to all.
