March 6 at 7:30 p.m.—WOODSTOCK — Internationally acclaimed Finnish folk band Frigg will bring their signature fusion of Nordic folk and bluegrass to the Woodstock Town Hall Theatre as part of their Spring 2025 tour. Known for their dynamic interplay of four violins, strings, and double bass, the group has captivated audiences worldwide with their infectious energy and technical precision.
Frigg first formed in 2000 when a group of teenage folk music enthusiasts gathered in Kaustinen, the heart of Finnish folk traditions. Their passion led to the release of their debut album in 2002, marking the beginning of their rapid rise in the global folk scene. The band’s distinct style, often referred to as “nordgrass”, blends traditional Nordic melodies with the improvisational spirit of bluegrass, creating a sound rooted in history and refreshingly modern.
On this tour, Frigg will showcase material from their latest album while revisiting standout tracks from their extensive 11-album catalog, including fan-favorites “RajRajRaj” and “Keidas,” alongside newer hits like “Häkkisen riili” and “Early Bird.”
With a reputation for electrifying live performances filled with humor, spontaneity, and breathtaking musicianship, Frigg’s concert promises to be an unforgettable experience for folk and world music fans alike.
