Vermont Democratic Party Statement on 2020 State Democratic Primary

MONTPELIER, VT — Following the close of the 2020 Democratic Party, Vermont Democratic Party Executive Director Scott McNeil released the following statement:

“The Vermont Democratic Party would like to extend it’s congratulations to its Democratic nominees for statewide office:

United States Representative: Peter Welch

Governor: David Zuckerman

Lieutenant Governor: Molly Gray

Treasurer: Beth Pearce

Secretary of State: Jim Condos

Auditor: Doug Hoffer

Attorney General: TJ Donovan

“Vermont Democrats will spend the next few months driving home a simple message: This election is about the future, not about maintaining the status quo with Governor Phil Scott. Our Democratic ticket, led by David Zuckerman and Molly Gray will be a force to be reckoned with  — one inspired by fresh ideas and bold leadership.

“The Vermont Democratic Party would also like to extend it’s congratulations to all of the Democratic candidates running for office up and down the ballot. These folks stepped up to the plate and ran incredible campaigns during a challenging time — expanding the electorate and welcoming new voices into our Party, and for that we’re grateful.”
