Saturday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. — LUDLOW — “Blue Jasmine” will be FOLA’s (Friends of Ludlow Auditorium) first movie for its 2015 film series, showing on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Ludlow Town Hall Auditorium.
“Blue Jasmine” is a 2013 American dark comedy drama film written and directed by Woody Allen. It tells the story of a rich Manhattan socialite (played by Cate Blanchett) who falls into hard times and has to move in to her sister’s apartment in San Francisco.
It’s a tale of one woman, accustomed to the high life, and her efforts to deal with an apparently wealthy husband who turns out to be a fraudster; a sister used to the common life;; and a future without much hope of return to the wealthy life style. And it is told in the unique style of Woody Allen.
The film won many acting and production awards.
As with all FOLA movies, the movie is free; donations to support the costs of the films are appreciated. Popcorn and water will be provided.
