Road construction projects scheduled for the week of July 6

Here is a list of road construction projects happening throughout central Vermont this week. Please remember to drive safely in all work zones.

Rutland and Windsor counties

Bethel – The bridge replacement project along Route 12 continues this week. Travelers should expect to encounter gravel roadways, but few delays.

Castleton – Ledge stabilization activities continue along Route 30. A lane closure is in place with traffic regulated by a temporary signal. Expect minor delays at the signal location.

Cavendish – Weathersfield – A road reclaimation project continues along Route 131. Areas of one-way alternating traffic. A temporary traffic signal between Lindberg Dr. and Brook Road will result in some delays. Please observe the timing of the signal.

Fair Haven – Paving of side roads and driveway aprons along Route 22A this week. Motorists can expect one-way alternating traffic with minor delays.

Hartford – A roundabout and sidewalk project is underway along US-5. Motorists should anticipate delays on Monday, 07/6, throughout the day as crews restripe the roadway. Also, starting this week the traffic pattern along US-5 will shift and traffic will be reduced to one thru lane and one turn lane in each direction, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

Chester to Londonderry – Drainage, shoulder, and slope work along Route 11 this week. There will be one-way flagged traffic in multiple areas, causing some delays.

Norwich – Work on a rail crossing improvement project continues along River Road this week. Motorists should expect one-way alternating traffic.

Pittsford – Multiple activities are underway for roadway reconstruction along US-7. One truck lane remains closed southbound. Motorists will encounter a lane shift, along with speed reductions and brief stoppages of traffic. Expect delays.

Putney – The bridge on US-5 at the intersection of Kimball Hill Rd. is CLOSED for 14 days to replace the bridge decks. A signed detour is in place utilizing I-91 and US-5. Please plan accordingly.

West Rutland – Multiple projects are underway. Sidewalk, shoulder, and median work along routes 4-A and 133, with signal and paving work at the intersection of BUS-4 and 4-A. Motorists can expect areas of one-way alternating traffic, with occasional lane and shoulder closures at the BUS-4/4A intersection. Plan on minor delays.

Windsor – Hartland – A paving project is underway along US-5. Travelers should expect areas of alternating one-way traffic with some delays.
