In 2019, the FHHS hosted a Memorial Day decorating contest for businesses in the town center. It proved so popular; it was decided to open the event to all homes and businesses in Fair Haven. In order to maintain social distancing, all registration and voting was done online.
In all, 12 homes and five businesses in Fair Haven signed up and decorated, with 417 votes cast. The winner of the 2020 contest is 24 Second Street, the home of Nicole and Mark Beebe. Second place was the Shaddock Family home at 12 West Street. Coming in third place was the Phillips Family at 11 South Main Street.
