Killington Resort plans to open bike park June 6

Saturday, June 6 at 10 a.m.—KILLINGTON—Pending approval by the governor, Killington Resort aims to have its bike park open to passholders on June 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rental bikes and pads will not be available opening weekend.  The bike facilities will open to the general public on June 12 for Friday-Sunday operations through the month of June.

Though the golf course is open, uphill travel mountain bike and hiking trails are still closed at this time. Crews are spread across the mountain repairing washouts, building bridges, cutting up fallen trees, and operating heavy equipment. Using the hiking and MTB trails at Killington before they are ready to open is simply not in the best interest of resort staff, its guests, or the community.

Over the past few weeks, despite the trails being closed, many people have been seen on them. The resort asks everyone to stay off closed trails.

Luckily, the Killington community still has plenty of great places to ride. Here’s a few to try out:

Pine Hill Park in Rutland

Green Mountain Trails in Pittsfield

Sherburne Trails in Killington. Hot tip: Gifford Woods Trail just recently opened.

Basecamp Trails in Killington. Hot tip: they also have a new trail called Archie Baker Trail.

Killington looks forward to welcoming back mountain bikers soon. For more information visit  killington.com/plan-your-trip/summer-activities/golf#covid-policies
