Billings Farm celebrates  life cycles on the farm

June 1–5—WOODSTOCK— Visit Billings Farm online June 1-5, 2020 to get in tune with the life cycles on the farm.  See how much the baby farm animals have grown since the baby farm animal celebration in April. Check in on the peeping Black Copper Maran chicks, the adorable lambs Maple and Marvin, and with Jersey calf Billings Casino Vegas, named by online visitors during April’s Name the Calf contest.

The gardens are growing too! Take a tour of the gardens with the Billings Farm educators to see which seedlings have popped up and what else they are planting.

Ever wonder how much has Billings Farm changed in the last 150 years? Take a photographic journey through time and to see what crops were grown on the farm and how the use of the 1890 farm manager’s house has changed.

Visit the Learning Kitchen online for Time Travel Tuesday and Foodie Friday for a demonstration of Bananas Foster, an adaptation of a Fannie Farmer recipe, and tuna salad made with tahini. We also check back in with some of our crafty interpreters to see what they’ve made from the yarn and finger knitting crafts we highlighted last month.
