Mountain Green condo owners thrilled with Maya Papaya

By Cristina Kumka

Mountain Green condominium owners are loving a new fish, produce and grocery market right in their complex, according to Chef Brad Pirkey of Maya Papaya CSA.

Opened since Thanksgiving weekend, Maya Papaya offers a new option for select groceries and take out dining and folks staying at Mountain Green or the Killington Grand are thrilled.

“They don’t have to drive and they’ve been our biggest client so far,” Pirkey said of the condo owners.

Maya Papaya is offering pizza and nightly dinner specials from $4.99 to $21.

The market is expected to be open during the winter seasons through 2015 and Pirkey will run his mobile food truck business in the summer.

Business owner E.J. Cully is a seafood distributor and the market specializes in a fresh, full array of seafood from Boston fish markets.
