Hammond Cove Shooting Range opening delayed until May 16

HARTLAND – The Hammond Cove Shooting Range in Hartland will have a delayed tentative opening of Saturday, May 16 at 10 a.m.

The delay is due to Governor Scott’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Order placed on the state of Vermont to lessen the spread of Covid-19, which was extended through May 15 on Friday, April 10.

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department will post updates on event schedules on its website vtfishandwildlife.com.

Governor Scott has directed out of state visitors to not come to Vermont unless they are part of the essential services exempt from the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Order and, if they do come to Vermont, to self-quarantine for 14 days before engaging in any activity including outdoor recreation.

Please use good judgement to reduce the spread of the coronavirus:

Refrain from carpooling. Drive only with your immediate family members and only if everyone is feeling well.

Keep a distance of at least 6 feet between you and your companions.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
