Sunday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. — CASTLETON — On Sunday, Dec. 7, Science Pub will examine “What Are We Eating When We Eat GMO Foods?” Despite all the bad publicity GMO foods get, and a major lawsuit pending against Vermont for requiring labeling on GMO foods, few of us understand what we’re actually eating when we eat foods that contain GMO. Modified cells? DNA that has been altered? Parts of foreign organisms? Professor Christine Palmer of Castleton College, a plant biologist, will give us the inside scoop at 4 p.m., at Iron Lantern, Castleton. The lecture is free except for any food or drinks ordered.
