Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. — WOODSTOCK — ArtisTree Community Arts Center in South Pomfret announces two upcoming events. On Friday, Nov. 21, they will host the local spotlight, “Songwriter’s Showcase,” from 7-9:30 p.m. Enjoy three local artist not to be missed! The concert will be indoors in the new performance space. Hosted by Jim Yeager, local feature artists will include Dave Richardson, Jake Haehnel & Libby Kirkpatrick.
Then, on Sunday, Nov. 23, cellist Robert Blais and pianist Diane Huling, both from the central Vermont area, will give a performance of all-Russian music from 4-6 p.m. at ArtisTree. The program will include both the Shostakovich and the Rachmaninoff cello sonatas as well as solo piano pieces by Scriabin and Prokofiev.
Both events are free and open to the public. ArtisTree’s new location is at 2095 Pomfret Rd., South Pomfret.
