KILLINGTON—Casella Construction was this year’s People’s Choice Award winner at the Vermont Holiday Festival, where over 100 decorated trees adorned the Grand Hotel in Killington this past weekend. Its “Cats + CATS” tree was the No. 1 crowd favorite. The Spa at the Woods was runner up with the “All That Glitters Is Not Gold” themed tree and Casey’s Caboose came in third with “The North Pole Express.” (Pictured left to right, below.)
Also notable, for the first time the Killington Police Department decorated a tree for the Holiday Festival, choosing to memorialize 2019 inline duty deaths of officers and K-9s. There were 111 blue ornaments that represent the fallen officers and 24 dog biscuits representing the fallen K-9s, as of Dec. 4, 2019.
