Saturday, Dec. 7 at 12 p.m.—RUTLAND—Interested bakers, schools, organizations, businesses, families, individuals and young people are invited to submit their imaginative gingerbread creations to the Chaffee’s annual gingerbread contest. This year’s theme is “Season of Giving.”
Pre-registration appreciated, but entries do not have to pre-register. The delivery deadline for entries is Dec. 4 or 5 between 12-5 p.m. The gingerbread designs will be on display in the historic 1890’s mansion from the gingerbread showcase reception and tree lighting on Dec. 7, from 12-3 p.m., until the close of the annual holiday exhibit on Jan. 3. There is a $250 prize for 1st place; $150 for 2nd place; and $100 for 3rd place; plus a People’s Choice in all categories!
