Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 13-15 at 7 p.m. — POULTNEY — The Green Mountain College Theater Department presents the classic comedy/social satire of Victorian England “The Importance of Being Earnest,” written by Oscar Wilde. Performances will be Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 13-15, at 7 p.m. in Ackley Hall. GMC students, faculty and staff are admitted free. There is a $10 admission for the general public.
“We have a talented team of seven student actors from freshmen to seniors, as well as a professional artist arriving from Washington DC to play the wealthy dowager Lady Bracknell,” said professor and director Paula Mann.
GMC cast members include Jesse Winings ‘17 (Algernon), Simon James ‘18 (Jack), Joseph Corrado ’15 (Lane/Merriman), Peyton Siler Jones ‘15 (Gwendolyn), Emma Jeanne Page ‘16 (Cecily), Allison Parenti ’16 (Miss Prism) and Samuel Connor Leigh (Rev. Chasuble).
Professional guest artist Lloyd Rose, who plays Lady Bracknell, has a long and rich history in the performing arts.
