Thursday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. — WELLS — Vermont House candidate Valerie Harriss is hosting a Pie and Ice Cream Social on Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Modern Woodman Hall in Wells. The event is free, open to the public and will include several types of homemade pies by local bakers. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a brief round table discussion of current state issues with Senators Peg Flory and Kevin Mullin and senate candidate Brian Collamore, followed by pie and ice cream with continued conversation. Harriss is the Republican candidate for the house seat representing Wells, Pawlet, Middletown Springs, Rupert and a portion of Tinmouth.
“My hope in putting on this event is to inform and engage citizens in a friendly environment about issues important to us all. This will encourage good conversations about jobs, economy, taxes and other state policies. In addition, we will enjoy great desserts and coffee–celebrating the harvest season in our great state.” states Harriss.
