Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. — KILLINGTON — Join Melissa Maravell as she returns once again to perform a benefit concert for, and at, Church of Our Saviour in Killington on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
Melissa sang with the New York City Opera Company for more than twenty-five years, but her first love is performing a variety of styles of music, accompanying herself on guitar. She performs original tunes, traditional folk, pop standards, even a little opera. Her career has taken her from the opera stage, to musical comedy, chamber music, folk festivals; even an impromptu concert from the tailgate of a station-wagon. Her Vermont performances have included Hawk Mountain Resort, The Summit Lodge, The Folk Festival in Chester and, of course, Church of our Saviour.
With her rich contralto voice and guitar rhythms, Melissa’s diverse musical repertoire is sure to please anyone. “I love singing in this church, the acoustics are amazing and the setting inspirational.”
Admission is free; donations to the Church are always welcome. The church is located on Mission Farm Rd., Killington, just off Route 4 across from the Skyeship Gondola.
