RUTLAND—About 85 Stafford Technical Center students participated in the SkillsUSA Leadership Conference held at various locations around South Burlington, April 4-5.
Stafford Technical Center garnered 52 medals in individual and group competitions, including 13 gold medals, 19 silver medals, and 20 bronze medals. Medal winners attend Stafford Technical Center in Rutland from the following schools: Fair Haven Union High School, Rutland High School, Otter Valley Union High School, Mill River Union High School, Poultney High School, and West Rutland High School.
Gold medal winners were: Darin Alt in Plumbing; Eli Gignoux in Electrical Wiring; Trevor Quigley and Logan Withington in Team Works; Steven Betit in Welding; Dylan Beebe in Extemporaneous Speaking; Nathaniel Whipple in Technical Drafting; Faith Springer, Hunter Lanfear, Lexi Sadakierski in Crime Scene Investigation; Kiana Porter in Job Skill Demo A; Hilary Dubois in Cosmetology; and Grace Euber in Photography.
Silver medal winners were: James Mars in Plumbing; Jared Disorda and Noah Smith in Team Works; Noah Logan and Lindsey Hewes in Additive Manufacturing; Ryan Ward in Related Technical Math; Samantha Butler in Auto Refinishing Technology; Grace Euber, Sky-lyn Mead and Brooke Otto in Promotional Bulletin Board; Alea Valente in Pin Design; Andrew Cassidy in Action Skills; Kaina Porter in Basic Health Care; Brooke Otto and Jon Urbani in 3D Visualization and Animation; and Kiana Porter, Harrison Steever, Dylan Beebe and Francis Grabowski in Gorilla Communications.
