Cristina Kumka hired as PEGTV program coordinator

RUTLAND — PEGTV, Rutland County’s public access television station, is pleased to announce County News 802 Producer Cristina Kumka has accepted the position of program coordinator for PEGTV’s government channel 21. Kumka will continue to produce and host County News 802 as well as taken on new duties as coordinator.

“Cristina’s vast experience in journalism and knowledge of Rutland County make her the ideal individual for the position of CH21 Coordinator,” boasts PEGTV Executive Director Michael Valentine.

Cristina Kumka started her career in broadcast journalism at Emerson College in Boston. From 2008-2012 she wrote for the Rutland Herald covering statewide education issues and breaking news. She has also contributed to Vermont Public Radio, The Mountain Times newspaper and acts as a journalism consultant for local schools.

Kumka first joined PEGTV in July of 2013. PEGTV is comprised of Channels 15, 20 and 21 and is available throughout the Rutland Region to all cable subscribers. For more information visit www.pegtv.com.
