Pentangle hires new managing director

WOODSTOCK–Pentangle Arts’ Board of Trustees recently announced the hire of Alita Wilson in the new position of managing director. Pentangle’s former executive director, Gary Wood, will remain on staff as the artistic director, working part-time from his home in Florida. As managing director, Wilson will be responsible for the management of Pentangle staff, direction of the day-to-day operations, and working with community organizations, businesses, and individuals.

Karen White, board president, said Pentangle is excited to welcome Wilson. “She comes with strong non-profit management experience–from being a senior manager at Sierra Club’s national headquarters in San Francisco to, most recently, running Woodstock Ski Runners. Alita’s strong connection to the Woodstock community is also a key component to ensuring Pentangle remains a vital asset to our town and the surrounding communities.”

Wilson is a Woodstock native and grew up next door to Town Hall Theatre. She has fond childhood memories of movie marathons and musical performances just a stone’s throw away from her front door.
