Run/walk to benefit Kenyan children

RUTLAND—Join a 5K fun run/walk on Oct. 16 to benefit HEAL Raising Our World Foundation, Inc., an organization committed to raising our world, one child at a time. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this run will support the children at Rapha Community Center, a children’s home and secondary school in Nyahururu, Kenya.
Registration begins at 1 p.m. at Grace Church (West Street parking lot)in Rutland and the Run/Walk begins at 1:30 p.m. A single entry is $25; a family entry is $50. The first 75 runners/walkers will receive a free t-shirt. Enter online or on the day of the run at kenyarun.eventbrite.com.
Run for less when you raise money. Join the fundraising team online at crowdrise.com/kenya-run. Raise a minimum of $50 by Oct. 16, and pay a reduced entry fee of $10 on the day of the run. A family who raises a minimum of $50 may pay a reduced entry fee of $25. Please note, there’s no need to register early, just join the team and hit your minimum fundraising goal either online or in-person, and qualify for the reduced entry fees on the day of the run. All money should be collected and turned in at check-in beginning at 1 p.m. The top three fundraisers will win prizes.
