Thursday, Sept. 11 at 9:30 a.m. — HUBBARDTON— On Thursday, Sept. 11, the Hubbardton Battlefield State Historic Site in Hubbardton will observe a day of remembrance. The site is open free of charge for those who wish to contemplate or honor heroes from the past and present. The museum and facilities will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The site, with its rolling meadows and sweeping views of the mountains, is a place of tranquility after the Revolutionary War battle here 237 years ago.
The historic site is located on Monument Hill Road six miles off VT Route 30 in Hubbardton, or seven miles off exit 5 on US Route 4 in Castleton. Carefully follow the signs.
