Friday, Sept. 16 at 5 p.m.—WELLS—It’s time again for the Wells United Methodist Church’s annual Giant Teacup Auction. The event returns to the MWA Annex Building on West Main Street (Route 30) in Wells on Friday, Sept. 16. Viewing and bidding start at 5 p.m.; drawing starts at 6:30 p.m.
At the auction, find hundreds of collectibles, jewelry, dishes, knick-knacks, household items, books, videos, and more; plus house plants and fall veggies like potatoes, cabbage, onions, and beans; plus home-baked items like breads, pies, brownies, cupcakes, cookies, and goodies.
Envelopes of 10 tickets are only $1. Place tickets in the cups next to items desired. Most will win something, and there will be door prizes.
Dinner will be available: hot dogs, chili dogs, maple baked beans, and beverage, plus ice cream for dessert.
The auction is presented by the Mission Event of Wells United Methodist Church. Funds are used for local food banks and natural disaster aid worldwide.
