Head on collision in Killington causes injuries to locals

KILLINGTON—On Aug. 27, 2016, at approximately 2:59 a.m. troopers from the Vermont State Police-Rutland Barracks, the Killington Police Department, Killington Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on US Route 4 near the intersection of Mission Farm Road in Killington.
Preliminary investigation revealed Amin J. James, age 36 of Hartland, Vt., was driving eastbound on Route 4 in a 2003 Honda CRV with passenger, Paul A. Pasley, age 47 of Woodstock. John Warner, age 62 of Tuftonboro, N.H., was traveling westbound in the same area, operating a 2013 Volvo Station Wagon. James traveled left of center into the westbound lane and into Warner’s path of travel. Warner attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to move his vehicle in time. Both vehicles impacted each other in the westbound travel lane. The crash caused extensive damage to both vehicles.
James and Pasley were not wearing seat belts during the crash and sustained significant injuries. Both front airbags deployed. James and Pasley were transported to the Rutland Regional Medical Center by Regional Ambulance Service. James suffered multiple injuries to torso, extremities, possible head injury, police reported. Pasley also suffered multiple injuries including to his torso, extremities.
Warner was properly restrained in his vehicle and numerous airbags in his vehicle deployed. Warner received only minor injuries including minor scrapes/bruising, and was not transported to a hospital.
