Beast of the East ProGRT tour stops at Killington Bike Park this weekend

KILLINGTON—This summer the USA Cycling Pro Gravity Tour will be stopping at the Killington Bike Park for an exciting downhill event. Come out to watch some of the sport’s top riders compete in this three day race series taking place on Thursday, July 28 through Sunday, July 31. Competitors will battle it out on the brand new Goat Skull trail at Ramshead Mountain. The Pro GRT is a USA Cycling sanctioned event.

Pre-registration is available online at USACycling.org, and will be open until Monday, July 25 at 11:59 p.m. EST. On-site registration will be available Thursday, July 28 through Saturday, July 30. Entry fees are $110-$135. A lift ticket will be required.

All participants of the Beast of the East Pro GRT must complete an Express Assumption of Risk form. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the form. These forms will be available for all participants to sign at registration, but if you need a parent or guardian to sign prior to the race, please download and print the form here.

Divisions include Female Expert and Amateur open; Clif Kids class 14 and under; Male Open 50+; Male Amateur age categories (4); Male Expert age categories (4); and Male and Female pro.

Course open for pro/CAT 1 junior practice only, 9-1:30, on course

Course open for adult CAT 1/2/3 practice only, 1:30 -6, on course

Mandatory meeting for elite rider/team managers, 5-5:30, Ramshead Lodge

Saturday, July 30

Registration/check-in, 8-1:30, Ramshead Lodge

Pit load-in, 8-2, Ramshead base area

Cat 1/2/3 practice only, 8-12, on course

Pro/Cat 1 junior practice only, 12-3, on course

Seeding runs (Pro/CAT 1 junior only), 3:30-4:30, on  course

Course walk only (no bikes), 4:30-6:30 p.m., on course

Adam Ezra Group Free Concert, 3:30-6:30, Snowshed

Sunday, July 31

CAT 2/3 practice (2 practice runs), 8-9:30, on course

Rider’s meeting Cat 1/2/3, 9:45-10, Ramshead

CAT 2/3 race, 10-11:30,  on course

Cat 1 practice (2 practice runs), 12-1,  on course

Pro/Cat 1 junior practice, 1- 2,  on course

CAT 1 junior/pro women/pro men race, 2:30-4, on course

Awards will follow race completion,  Ramshead

Spectators

Spectator tickets for the Ramshead lift will be available on-site for $10; $15 for K1 Gondola. Spectator tickets are one-way foot traffic only; no downloading. Spectators may walk down to the course from the top. Sunday spectator tickets may be purchased in Snowshed Lodge or K1 Lodge.
