Okemo Valley Golf Club records two aces in June

LUDLOW – June was a lucky month for two Okemo Valley Golf Club Men’s League players who got holes-in-one during League play, according to a news release from the resort July 8.

On June 14, Lou Falango, of Weston, Vt., had the honor of making a hole-in-one on the 4th hole from the white tee, using his 7-iron, for a 158-yard ace. Ed Richter, Brian Halligan and Bob Ahlers witnessed the amazing feat.

John Smith, of Ludlow, Vt., made June’s second hole-in-one at OVGC June 21.

Smith also aced the 4th hole from the white tee for a 156-yard hole-in-one. He made the shot with his 6-iron. Ed Richter, Chris Garvey and Terry Thayne witnessed the accomplishment.

Both golfers’ names will be engraved on a plaque that hangs inside the Okemo Valley Golf Club clubhouse to honor those who have made a hole-in-one at OVGC.
