61st annual Halloween parade in Rutland set for Oct. 29

Deadline for float submissions due Oct. 12

RUTLAND—Rutland City Recreation & Parks is excited to celebrate the 61st running of the Rutland City Halloween Parade. This year, the parade will take place Saturday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. throughout downtown Rutland.

“Schools, local businesses, and outside organizations are invited to participate in this beloved Rutland City tradition,” said Kim Peters, the recreation superintendent. “We look forward to seeing all the ghouls, goblins, superheroes, floats, marchers, and more in this year’s parade,” Peters said.

All participating floats will need to review and complete the Halloween parade application packet. A link to the application and more information is available at rutlandrec.com/halloweenparade. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, Oct. 12.

Leading up to the parade, the recreation department will be holding Halloween-themed contests and festivities for children and adults.
