24-hour trail sign auction to be held March 4-5

It’s your chance to own a piece of Okemo history

Last summer, Okemo began a project to update trail signs all over the mountain — starting with Jackson Gore. On March 4-5, 22 of the first signs to be replaced are going up for auction with proceeds to benefit the EpicPromise Employee Foundation which supports Vail Resorts employees and their dependents in times of need through emergency financial assistance and educational grants. Since being founded in January 2016, the Foundation has given over $1.8 million to more than 700 employees through emergency relief and educational grants.

An online auction of trail signs is scheduled to go live for 24 hours starting at 12-noon on Friday, March 4 and ending at 12-noon on Saturday, March 5. Each trail sign will go the highest bidder who must be able to pick up their sign at Okemo on Saturday, March 12, between 3-5 p.m. No signs will be shipped. Photos of all the signs being auctioned may be viewed at the auction website where a list of FAQs is also available, including information on how interested parties may register to bid during the auction.
