Saturday, June 7 at 10 a.m. — ROCHESTER — Outdoor enthusiasts are invited to gather in the heart of Vermont’s trail country for Ridgefest 2025, a day-long celebration of adventure, community, and the growing network of trails supported by the Ridgeline Outdoor Collective.
Hosted by Green Mountain Bikes (105 No. Main St., Rochester), the event kicks off at 10 a.m. with guided rides and hikes through the scenic Rochester Valley. Participants can choose from beginner-friendly family rides, more challenging shuttle options, or an all-ages group hike. Bike rentals, including e-bikes and acoustic bikes, are available with advance reservations by calling Green Mountain Bikes at (802) 767-4464.
At 1:30 p.m., Ridgefest shifts gears to a community cookout and potluck behind Green Mountain Bikes. Ridgeline will provide the main course and encourage attendees to bring a side dish or dessert to share (BYOB). The afternoon offers a relaxed opportunity to connect with fellow trail users, enjoy good food, and celebrate the local outdoor scene.
Ridgefest also marks a special occasion for the organization with the introduction of Kim Stinson as Ridgeline’s new executive director. With a strong background in nonprofit leadership and outdoor recreation, Stinson brings new energy and a fresh vision to the future of trails in the region.
Parking for the event is available at the Rochester Town Garage, located on Peavine Drive behind the bike shop (please don’t block access to the garage)at 222 S. Main St., and Rochester Elementary School.
Ridgefest is free to attend, and donations are welcome to support Ridgeline’s mission.
