KILLINGTON—Casella is closing East Mountain Road to all traffic Wednesday, May 21 starting at 7 a.m. in the area noted below for placement of waterline pipe. The road will not reopen for the evening of Wednesday, May 21, and will remain closed until Casella has completed installation of the waterline pipe in the roadway. The road will reopen by the evening of Thursday, May 22. Road Closed signs will be placed at either end of East Mountain Road and barriers will be installed in the location of the work to prevent traffic from passing through the area.
UPDATE (5.22 at 1:08 p.m.): Casella will be finished with the excavation and laying the pipe across East Mountain Road today (May 22) and will place temp paving tomorrow (Friday, May 23). Casella will close traffic down to one lane as they place the paving and switch to the other lane when one is done. They will start at 7 a.m. and will be fully opened by 3 p.m. Friday.
