Sammy Pierce Scholarships aids community-minded area students

Students in Windsor and surrounding counties can apply for the 2025 Sammy Pierce Memorial Scholarship, which recognizes individuals for their volunteerism and community service. The Crown Point Board of Realtor annually awards two $1,000 scholarships to students who demonstrate a strong history of leadership, charitable service, and dedication to their communities.

Eligible applicants include 2025 high school graduates, homeschoolers, returning college students, previous recipients, and adult learners residing full-time in Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Clarendon, Grafton, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Plymouth, Reading, Rockingham, Shrewsbury, Springfield, Townshend, Wallingford, Weathersfield, Weston, West Windsor, and Windham. Recipients must be continuing their education in a two- or four-year program, though there are no restrictions on the field of study.

The scholarship honors the legacy of Sammy Pierce, a well-respected and generous Realtor in Windsor County known for his dedication to his community. His commitment to service is celebrated through this annual award.

Applications are available at local high schools or by texting Betty McEnaney at (802) 236-7099. The deadline for submission is Monday, May 5, 2025. Awards will be announced in June.

Community members who wish to support the scholarship fund can contribute by sending checks to Betty McEnaney, PO Box 402, Ludlow, Vermont 05149.
