Rockefeller Fund at the VCF announces $63,500 in grants to support Woodstock and area communities

The Laurance & Mary Rockefeller Fund at the Vermont Community Foundation recently awarded $63,500 in grants to 22 organizations in its 2024 competitive grants round. Grants include a combination of awards to organizations supporting arts, social services, youth programming, and public health in Woodstock and its surrounding communities.

The fund grants to organizations working to preserve and enhance the physical, cultural, spiritual, and wellness environment of the communities of Barnard, Bridgewater, Hartland, Killington, Plymouth, Pomfret, Reading, and Woodstock.

For nearly two decades, the Laurance & Mary Rockefeller Fund has supported the vision Laurance and Mary held dear — to enhance the physical, cultural, spiritual, and wellness environment for those living within the Ottauquechee River watershed.

The advisory council noted, “In 2024, we were pleased to support the important and ongoing work of 22 local organizations, impacting the lives of people across all ages—from toddlers to seniors, and supporting those with special needs, whether physical, emotional, or economic. Through arts, environmental, and social service initiatives, these efforts touch everyone in this special corner of Vermont.”

The Laurance and Mary Rockefeller Fund holds an annual grant round in the second half of the year, with awards and notifications sent in January of the following year.
