USASA Northern Vermont Series Halfpipe Doubleheader returns to Killington

submitted

Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. — KILLINGTON — The USASA Northern Vermont Series is bringing its Halfpipe Doubleheader to Killington Resort’s Timberline Park, offering one of the last remaining halfpipe competitions in Vermont. This event, a throwback to the early days of hand-shaped halfpipes, provides a unique opportunity for skiers and snowboarders to showcase their skills in a modified halfpipe.

Athletes will compete in a best-of-two-runs format across two back-to-back competitions. The top half of Timberline Park will be closed to the public during the event, though spectators can access the park via Header midway down the trail. Helmets are required for all participants, and all spectators must have a valid Killington lift ticket.

Competitor registration is $65, with athlete lift tickets available for $40. Check-in runs from 8:30-9:15 a.m. at Ramshead Lodge, followed by practice at 9:15 a.m. and a rider meeting at 9:50 a.m. The event starts at 10 a.m. and is expected to wrap up by 3:30 p.m. with an awards ceremony.
